Asphalt Schedule
October 10, 2012

On Friday, October 12^th Lakeside Industries will starting laying asphalt for the driveway aprons between the street and the sidewalk. They are scheduled to start at 7:30am and will be working through the end of the day.

Please note that the asphalt needs time to cool down so all driveways will be closed until the morning of Saturday, October 13^th.

We ask that homeowners park on the shoulder starting Thursday night of October 11^th.

Concrete Schedule Update
September 27, 2012

Starting Monday, October 1^st and going through Wednesday, October 3^rd the concrete subcontractor will be working on the sidewalk from Holcomb Street to Sheridan Street.

• Monday, October 1^st  – Starting to prep and form the sidewalk
• Tuesday, October 2^nd  – Fine tuning of the forming of the sidewalk
• Wednesday, October 3^rd – Pouring the sidewalk
• The morning of Friday, October 5^th – Driveways will be open

We ask that homeowners park on the shoulder starting Monday morning the 1^st of October.

September 24^th – September 28^th 

Starting Monday, September 24^th and going through Friday, September 28^th the concrete subcontractor will be working on the sidewalk from Discovery Rd. to Holcomb St. We are asking homeowners in this area to please park their cars on the shoulder during this week. Please see the details below.

• Monday, September 24^th – Starting to prep the sidewalk
• Tuesday, September 25^th – Grading for the sidewalk
• Wednesday, September 26^th – Pouring the sidewalk
• Thursday, September 27^th & Friday, September 28^th – Sidewalk will be drying
• Friday, September 28^th – Driveways will be open at the end of the day before the contractor leaves

Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project Update – September 14th

Please note that the concrete subcontractor will be forming and pouring sidewalk starting Monday (9/17) through Friday (9/21) starting at Discovery Rd. and moving up towards Holcomb St.

For the week of August 27th – August 31st the contractor, C & J Excavating will continue with the installation of the stormwater.

 

Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project Update – August 6, 2012

The City of Port Townsend went out to bid on the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project on May 30, 2012. We received five bids and they were opened on Thursday, June 21, 2012. The Project was awarded to C & J Excavating, Inc. of Carlsborg, WA as they were the lowest bidder.

The Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project construction will start on August 15, 2012 with a contract of 45 working days for a completion date of October 16, 2012 or sooner. 

The City will update the project blog every Friday with information on what will be happening the following week once the project gets started.

Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project – May 25, 2012 Update

The City of Port Townsend will be going out to bid on the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Contractors bids will be due June 21, 2012 with construction scheduled to start July 23, 2012.
